Oh Happy Summer Friends!!

Let's be frank here.  I love having the kids out for summer. I try to keep them busy, but, man, is it hot out there! Swimming? Sometimes. We don't have a pool.  Indoor events (mini golf, mall, movies, etc). Gets expensive.   So, needless to say, we do a lot of crafting.  Luckily, my youngest son is a happy camper when he can tear through my paper, embellishments and ribbon but he's occupied and happy to be so.  He's 8 by the way and most of his crafting projects are making 3D replicas of the Five Nights at Freddie's characters.  It's a game, a little creepy, but we have to pick our battles, right? :-))

Back to crafting! 4th of July is right around the corner.  Well, close than that.  It's peeking right around that corner.  I'm not ready!  4th of July is such a laid back relaxing sort of holiday so that is exactly what we'll be doing with some our friends.  July brings another exciting activity in our household.  Christmas in July!!  We decorate one room and have Christmas cartoons on all day.  Cartoon Network has a Christmas in July run.  We exchange handmade gifts because that's the rule and get a jump on our Christmas projects! My husband is a pro.  Stay tuned.   Stampin Up will have a holiday catalog out in a little over a month.  Oh how I love the holiday catalog!

Anywho, in the meantime, I've been working over some tools and exploring new projects.  Have you seen the Fourishing Phrases bundle?!  So much pretty in one little package.

Next up.... Weather Together bundle.  How sweet and lovely is this set?  I was so happy to see these new thinlits in the new catalog!

You believe this but, take a gander.  The Shooting Star bundle. It moves!!  Cool, right?!  I've perused so many different designs on Pinterest its stunning.  Thinlits designed to create a moving piece on your card or project.  Genius.

Note that these are bundles.  The absolute very best way to buy thinlits is in a bundle.  You have the matching stamps and it saves you %10! Always get the bundle.  I do.  I'm just saying....  :-)

Also, you may have noticed, some of the new thinlits and framelits have very intricate designs.  While, you can abolutely use these with the magnetic platform and the standard platform (I have with a layer of wax paper), you may want to consider adding the Precision Base Plate to the mix.  This base plate will ensure crisp, sharp cuts with the very detailed thinlits.

Now, I'm gearing up to post some photo tutorials and maybe, just maybe, a video.  I think I can do it.  Maybe.  :-))  One of which will be a framed, shadow box type project.  So much easy than it looked and I nailed it!! Also on the line up, the Gift Box Punch Board.  The bestest way to quickly make a party favors or small gift bags for friends.   So stay tuned!

It's summer!! ~~And it's hot out there! So stay cool and craft!

Oh, almost forgot!  Only two more day left to get two additional stamp sets when you join Stampin Up as a demonstrator! Sign up on my site and select two free sets!  If you've been mulling it over,  now is a great time to join, whether as a demonstrator of hobby demonstrator.  I'm mostly hobby but I do love to put on workshops on occasion.  We chat, eat and make a mess! Good clean fun.

On that note, have a wonderful week and keep cool!

Always,

Sabrina

I hope everyone's Valentine's Day was everything you hoped it would be!! We celebrated my husband's birthday with pizza, cake and bowling with the kids and great friends. He really is the other half of me and I couldn't imagine things being any different. Valentine's Day for the boys has turned into Halloween with hearts. Everyone collects candy and moves along. It's sad. My two oldest are just not into the Valentines festivities as they once were. :-( My little one is still young enough to have Valentines to hand out in his class. So stinkin cute!! I stayed up late to finish up his Valentines for class only to have him forget to hand them out when he became lost in the moment of Valentines candies and cards! Oh well.  We'll hand them to his class for his birthday.  Sure.

Now Easter is only two days away and we are sooooo not ready.  Spring break started off with a bang! Moved to a new place and my 13 yr old shattered his ankle.  Needless to say, my beloved crafting stash is still unpacked and sadly been untouched for weeks.  ;-(. On the upside my cake decorating gear is all over the place! Gotta be creative with what's available!

Not the greatest pic but it was done in a rush before everything disappeared into boxes   :-)

The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe?
That's what I was going for here.  :-)
I realize my people sculpting skills could use some practice but I was pretty excited with the outcome overall.

Soon, very soon, I'll be diving head first into my crafting boxes and creating, I mean, sorting and organize my gear.

Don't forget! Only a few more days left of Sale-a-Brations!! Take a gander and get your free loot!! Also, this is the best time of year to join Stampin Up! Hobby demonstrator or ambitious go-get-'em demonstrator, there's no better time! $99 and you receive $155 in Stampin Up gear including catalogs, order forms and everything you need to get started.  It's a pretty sweet deal.  Just saying....    :-)

Anywho, I can't wait to get crafty again! Keep in touch!!

There's a change for tomorrow's workshop! So not a majorlifechangingchange but you should know.  :-)))).  Workshop is now from 2p-4p! Please RSVP and we would love to have friends out and meet new friends!

Check out this months Paper Pumpkin! Super duper cute.  I'll be honest here, I don't get every months Paper Pumpkin. I love having the flexibility to skip a month when I need to.  My family and I have some changes ahead and skipping a month is going to help.  Anyway, upward and onward, right?

I love love DSP paper packs! So many designs and so versatile! So, feeling adventurous, I used the backing board that comes with 12x12 paper packs and placed nine 3 3/4in x 3 3/4in squares on it.  Then used punches, embellishments, framelits, DSP paper pack and stamps to put together a Valentine's decorative piece for my mantle.  I'm not sure I'm done with it yet. So here's my work in progress!

Thanks for stopping by!
Stay classy stampers.
Always,
Sabrina

It's coming up fast! For most of us, it means A LOT of little Valentines for the kids classroom or rooms   :-))  For us, its Valentines for one classroom (my other two are "too old" for that stuff) and most importantly my husband's birthday!  Well, its the 13th, but realistically that's what we celebrate.  This year is the big one! 40th! Eeek!! So its gotta be good! ;-)

I finally was able to participate in the Paper Craft Crews Challenge about a week ago (it's in my post, maybe two posts ago?)  And guess what?! That's right.  A top pick! So much fun!!  Thank you Paper Craft Crew!!

Paper Craft Crew

Any whoooo   I've put together both a guys card for almost any occasion and Valentine's Day treat holder.  I used cookies.  Because I bake.  A lot.  I'm super excited about a cake project I have coming up.  A library! You'll see.  **sidetracked**

Here we go!

Fry Box Bigz L Die
Perfect cookies or tossing in some candies. I would think if you're making 30+ of these, tossing in a few candy pieces would be optimum.  I make a ton of cookies at a time, so I'm thinking about it.  Maybe.

This is the guy card.  You could throw any little special saying on that heart and fit it to your guy's special day or accomplishment.  Oh, and the compass turns. Put a brad on that bad boy and it spins.  Thanks dad! I made him one and he thought it turned.   It did not. :-))  So adjustments were made.  haha

Thanks for stopping by friends and remember, if you're local to Riverside or Corona, I will be hosting a workshop Sunday, January 31st! Oh I do love everything single piece of this set. The DSP. The pink glitter paper.  The framelits!  It's girly. It's pretty.  It's sparkley. It's just fab!
So here we go. I set aside some time a few nights and got into a flow.  (Night owl here)  I'm so excited about my little coffee cups stash and have yet to add them to a workshop.  Hmm. Soon.  I think.  :-)  Love Blossoms

Eek!  Pink Sparkly hearts!

How incredible is that heart framelit?!

Picture taking fail! I just couldn't manage a decent pic of my coffee cups but I really really wanted to share! I'll work on that.  :-)
One more.  It's not pink or sparkly or girly but I love it nonetheless. It's a great way to guy up your card stash and I just love the travel aspect of the designs. I need a road trip now.  I'm itchin to get out on the road! Anyway, hope you like!
The DSP is stunning.  I can't think of another way to describe it.  Makes me feel like every sheet is precious and I better make the most of it! So I'll be picking up another pack.  You can't beat the price for so many designs and sheets.
That's all for today!  I'm still trying to get a workshop on the calendar. Life has become hectic these days but who doesn't love a crafting day reprieve! Soon, my friends. Soon.
Thanks for visiting!!
Always,
Sabrina
