Hello again friends!!

Just a quick drop to show you our second project for the Halloween  workshop on October 5th at Round Table Pizza in Rancho Cucamonga at 2p. :-)
It IS a Halloween workshop but I thought I'd throw in a quick and pretty Christmas teaser.  We have lots of wonderful things to choose from in the Annual Catalog and the Holiday Catalog.  The stamp set used here is from the Annual Catalog. I love this stamp set, Kinda Eclectic, because it works with any occasion, even Christmas.  Of course, it has to have some bling and silver to round out the prettiness of it all.  Hope you like it as much as I do!
Thank you for stopping by!

Specs

Basic Gray cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
Silver Glimmer paper
Tea Lace paper doilies
Pansy Punch
Silver Baker's Twine
This button comes from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. The buttons will likely be different at the workshop. :-)

They're right around the corner, folks! Don't fool yourself into thinking they are not. Don' procrastinate. That never ends well when it comes to the holidays.  Believe me, I know.  It's never too early to start getting ready and honestly, at this point, you should be on top of your game already. Unlike me.

Anywhooooo!  I decided I needed to add a scary, somewhat ugly-ish Halloween card to my collection.  I mean ugly as in not cute or pretty.  It's Halloween.  There has to be some element of scary, ugly, gross, surprising and just, eewwww. Right? Onward!
This card was very fun to make and will be one of the projects at the workshop on October 5 in Rancho Cucamonga (details to follow) It can be messy looking because there's no right way to make it.  I smudge the card using a cosmetic wedge with black and added the trees from the Holiday Home stamp set, which is one of my favorites because it has so many different stamps covering all of the holidays.  Behind the house, I also used a cosmetic wedge using 3 different colors to impress a creepy darkening sunset. For the house I used a the darkest shade of Olive Green of the Blendabilities marker set.  I thought it would give it an ugly green hue to fit the theme of the card. Not sure why "ugly" is the go-to word today but I haven't come up with a better description.  :-) The bats are from the same stamp set (see? everything.)  The shape of the paper with the house on it was made by using my circles framelits (a size that would allow it fit the card) and cutting the sides off with my trimmer.

Rise and Shine! At least that's what noontime is for me.  I'm working on that first cup of coffee of the day. And yes darlings, first. There will be many more to come. Don't worry, I do slip in a few cups of hot green tea with some raw honey and happiness on the side.  That's how I take my tea. Doesn't everyone?
Moving on....
I'm planning my holiday open house, which has now been pushed to October, and I hope to see everyone there! Make n takes, tinkering with products like the Big Shot, framelits and punch boards and raffles! Of course raffles! What's an open house without raffles!
I'll keep ya posted! We'll be moving soon so an exact date hasn't been set yet but it will be in Rancho Cucamonga in early October on a Sunday.  Bring family, friends, neighbors, people you like.  Just give me a heads up on how many you're bringing.  All this when I give you a date of course! Thanks!

Here's a couple of cards for the open house and one of which will be a Thanksgiving make-n-take and the other a Halloween make-n-take.
